Jacqueline Wright, a graduate of CalArts, works as a writer/actor in LA & NY. A recipient and nominee of LA Weekly, Stage Raw, Ovations, Drama Critic’s awards, Jacqueline joyfully originated the role of Molly Carlson in The Patron Saint of Sea Monsters by Marlane Meyer, dir Lisa Peterson, JonBenét Ramsey in House of Gold, dir Gates McFadden, The Dope Elf in The Dope Elf, written & directed by Asher Hartman. As a playwright Wright has been commissioned, produced by Theatre of NOTE, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Occidental, CalArts, The Echo, Open Fist, Northridge State... her plays Bing, Eat Me, Buddy Buddette, and Spider Bites have received LA Weekly & Ovation nominations, and was a Jerome Fellowship finalist for Love Water. Jacqueline’s feature film adaptation of her critically acclaimed play Eat Me was a Sundance lab finalist & won screenwriting, actor and best independent film awards at The Cult Film Festival, Peephole Festival, among others.
